In space sector 2814 on an insignificant planet called Earth, there was a man who in life and death was the embodiment of the Sinestro Corps main belief “to instill great fear”. In life, Freddy Krugger was a child murderer who tortured children for his own twisted pleasures. Eventually Krugger was burned alive by the parents of the children he killed and as he burned in the inferno that brought upon the end of his life he cursed the town folk that he would return to take revenge on their children. Through willpower alone, Krugger came back from hell to get his promised vengeance on the children of the town and so it was that through their dreams that he struck out killing them by using their own fears against them. A Sinestro Corps ring sensing a being with the power to instill great fear searched the planet until it reached a forest and under that forest amidst the bones of young children there was a box, confused the ring took the box to Qward. Where Sinestro opened the box to find a single glove with four bloodied blades attached to the ends of the fingers. Sinestro put on what he believed to be a rather mundane weapon to find himself overtaken by images of pure terror that almost made the great Sinestro cringe in fear. Knowing this weapon was of great value to the Sinestro Corps, he hand it over the scientist of his Corps. The scientist found out that the being that the glove once belonged to had become a fear specter much like the Corps own embodiment of fear Parallax. Unlike the entity Parallax, the Sinestro Corps scientist could clone a body for this new fear specter from dead skin cells and hairs found in the glove. So it was that a perfect clone body was made, all that was needed was to call the fear spirit back to the body. This was accomplished by merging the anti-matter properties of a yellow lantern battery and ring to the fear glove thus creating a breach in the dreamscape that opened up letting Freddy Krugger out to enter the cloned body. A blaze of yellow flame engulfed the perfect clone body as the body ran and wailed about, the flame suddenly stopped to unveil a humanoid body with a glowing yellow right hand covered head to toe in 3rd degree burns, as the body looked around it found a reflected surface and through burnt lips spoke “yeah, this is more like it”. So it was that Krugger was trained in the ways of the Sinestro Corps and because his consciousness was linked to both his fear glove and power battery, he found he could leave his body and still enter the dreamscape killing people both in life and dreams. No longer was Krugger bound to a single street or to a single town, the whole multiverse was now his playground to spread fear and death with the rest of the Sinestro Corps. The Green Lantern Corps and the other DC heroes best to stay awake, because unlike the other fear mongers they faced like the Scarecrow or Dr Destiny who only do their deeds to prove their evil worth, Freddy Krugger plays for keeps….if the DC heroes don’t wake up screaming, they won’t wake up at all.
SC or Sinestro Corps Freddy was made from some Buffy male body, ML Giant man series Weapon x (variant head), Movie Dr Doom coat, X-2 movie Wolverine arms, and other odds & ends.
Customizer side note: Well, happy Halloween. Hope you enjoy SC Freddy, he just something I thought would be different for this contest. Instead of repainting an existing Freddy, I went with making one from scratch and still make sure he was recognizable, so instead of a SC costume for him I went with black pants and his ugly sweater painted yellow and black. The main changes came with making his New Nightmare trench coat futuristic or space looking and of course instead of the fear glove I tried going with a light-up yellow hand (that didn’t photo well) to go with the story above.
