Used Phage for the base on this one. Obviously that helped with the gold paint. The head is a combination of multiple man head with Peter Parker hair and mockingbird glasses..

Looks good, but how does the base figure help with the paint when you painted over the entire thing? Wouldn't any base have worked just as well?

The fact that it’s a gold base means I don’t have to spend as much time prepping the figure. Especially on the shoulders and hips. If a little of the gold paint rubs off, it won’t be as visible since the figure itself is gold. Also, gold paint doesn’t cover that well over darker colors, so the fact that that the base is gold helps. I acetoned all of the black paint off first also
