I decided to make my own figure of Ghost Rider after being underwhelmed by either the sculpt or articulation of the retail versions out there. This custom made figure is super-articulated, and handles very well (no paint rub or chipping).

:::Recipe:

-Lots of Gel Super Glue.

-Movie "Flaming Hands" Ghost rider
(Skull, Chain, chest and boots, heavily modified)

-Movie "light up head" Ghost rider
(forearms)

-ML Xorn
(shoulder, biceps, elbows, a modified waist, and thighs)

-ML Long Shot
(collar used as a base with Apoxie Sculpt)

-Various flame pieces from ML figures
(Movie Care Taker, Inhuman Torch, and many, many more). Each flame was carved then thinned out with a Dremel.

I also removed the faux plastic flames use that use to jut out of the battery section and sculpted over it using Aves 2-part sculpting compound. Afterward, I used a light dremel sanding attachment to really define the grooves of fabric where a leather jacket would bunch or wrinkle on the back and sides. In doing so, I also removed any unsightly molding seams.

I painted the skull a faint white-yellow, and dry brushed in shadows and the eye sockets. I really like that effect in the comics - for some reason the trend toward "light up eyes" just seems cheesy on most Ghost Rider figures.

To unify the head flames color scheme, I did various spiraling colors of fire -- starting with the darkest red, and working toward the brightest yellows.

For the body, I painted it all black, and dry brushed it a few different times using white and shades of gray Vallejo Game Color paints to bring out detail.
The same was done with the chain using Black, Gunmetal silver and Chainmail silver.
Afterward, I sealed the figure using Citadel brand Matte finish clear coat.

Thanks for looking. Any questions about this or any other customs, let me know. :)

That's actually a cool idea. I've seen Jin do it, and didn't want to copy his "spin-figure-around/talk about it" thing.
However, I think that if I did a few videos of specific tricks I've developed while showing a figure I used those techniques on, it could work pretty well.
Basic stuff like using clipped section of paperclip to reinforce areas, or join thin pieces of plastic I think could be helpful and interesting. Thanks for your compliment and suggestion MrGore.
Cheers,

Thanks for the comments guys. Glad you like my take on Ghost Rider. I prefer a streamlined biker look with less spikes - versus the overdone 1990's approach of "spikes on everything". That was cool when Spawn first came out, not so much now.
I'm hoping to see the Ghost Rider comic evolve as every fictional hero needs to - in his visual presentation, and as a character with the decisions the books writers make.
Cheers,
