I've read Jin's tutorials before, and work with a mix of testors and the cheap brands normally, depends what colors I need.
The testors paints I can normally afford tend to come in that gloss value pack so I'm not too keen on using them all the time.
I've seen some amazing stuff people can do with the value brands, but I do agree I get better results w/ the testors.
As far as seeing some of the grey/black poking through --- that was actually partly intentional!
I had read that the madder the Red Hulk gets, the HOTTER he gets, so I thought maybe he should have
more of a charcoal-like finish like Human Torch vs straight reds... Admittedly, I didn't want big bare
patches of grey or streaks of it but I think there's a good compromise there.

... and now you got some serious bashing on the way with your Hulks. Great job on the face...he looks scary, specially the eyes. I would just suggest some more coats of red coz I can still see the Pitt color inside, and a darker red for wash.. but thats just me. Other than that your Rulk is a great addition to your collection.
