One of my most underutilized parts of the new trilogy was the Knights of Ren. They were set up as being cool, mysterious but powerful characters...and then were shown for about 5 minutes and killed in about the same time. The RoS visual dictionary gave more detail into them and a comic featuring Ben Solo meeting and then joining them gave a bit more, but other than that, they're still largely unknown.

Lore has explained that they're a group of Dark Side worshippers who serve the Dark Side by serving who embodies it at the time-in this case, Darth Sidious. They're all Dark Side users, however they aren't trained and use it crudely. They've also been around for decades, replacing members as they are killed until they are all destroyed. They also all feature rough but fairly similar dark armor. Kyle Ren wears his helmet to emulate Vader, but even that and his clothes are based heavily off the other Knights of Ren and even if he didn't have the hero worship, he'd probably look pretty similar based on how the rest appear.

In any case, this figure is a concept Knights of Ren. I can see it going one of two ways-either it's an alternate style Kylo Ren who chose to go more militarized like the rest of the group instead of flowing robes and lightsaber like the Sith or a past member of the Knights of Ren who Kylo Ren would then base his own look after or adopt when he joined.
