After a scant... *checks notes* ...nine years, the time has come to update my Bane. I love the look of Schwarzenegger as Bane, but wanted a more comic-accurate take. Assembled from two or three different versions of NECA Dutch, including hands robbed from my previous custom, the figure was heavily repainted, with the flesh-colored plastic mostly preserved under a few washes. The head is from Mattel's final Bane figure, which I managed to snag second-hand. At $30, it's the most I've spent on a figure for the sole purpose of customizing. I left the Venom hole in the back of the head unfilled, in case I want to make some casts later. After snapping in some leftovers from a Gundam kit in lieu of a neck, Bane is back, ready to terrify Gotham once again!
