Attached these two figures ages ago but finally this past week I gave a final push in painting the figure. I love this custom but can't take too much credit as these are two excellently sculpted base figures. I just wish I got a better price on them when I bought them. After I removed the Empress from her body and Mohawk from his legs I attached the two and sculpted some detailing around the join just to make it blend. I don't have this movie and the only reference picture I could find online was a not to clear picture of an unproduced prototype. From that picture I was able to take the idea of sculpting the clawed joints on the legs and also sculpted a kind of cuticle towards the end of the legs to make the end of the leg look like a claw. I put off painting it for so long as I thought it would take an age and knew I had to be in the right frame of mind. But saying that it came together quite easily. The Mohawk figure had enough red detailing on him that I only had to do some muddy green paint washes over the already red Empress to blend the coloring of the two. If I ever get hold of another Gremlin figure I'd love to do the sex-change Gremlin.
