Used a HML FF series Thing with a dark brown wash to make him less orange-y, then much later I got a Toybiz series II Thing and replaced the turtle-ish head. I filed down the original neck, then drilled in with a wood screw, used a bolt cutter to take the screw head off the other end, then bore into the soft Thing head with the cut end of the screw (making a double-tipped screw)... the head's tightly in place and retains full articulation that way. It's clobberin' time!
