Randy is one of my zombies from my custom figure line "The Restless." I took a regular 12 inch GI Joe style figure and mangled him up a great deal with a Dremmel tool (When you do this, think of how human teeth would mangle flesh... it keeps things in perspective). I put hands from a Marvel Legends Icons Magneto on him because they are much more expressive than regular toy soldier hands. I sculpted a new head for him from Sculpey. His intestines are sculpted from Sculpey as well. His clothes (just regular Joe or similar sized fashion doll clothes) were distressed in the places where his Dremmel "injuries" were. I painted him and added hair from teddy bear fur to his head. When you paint blood, remember that blood is rarely flat red. There are all kinds of colors to blood, and different wounds from different parts of the body bleed differently. When you paint your zombies, remember that they are usually walking around and the blood should look like it's running down them from top to bottom. The more wounded the zombie is, the more blood he'll be covered in. Soak those clothes too... when you bleed it seeps into any clothing you wear. The key to making really convincing gore is gloss finish. It makes the blood look wet and the wounds look fresh. Use it liberally on exposed muscle and interior organs, and you'll make your friends gag every time!!! If you plan on making zombies collect extensive autopsy and crime scene photographs-- you can never have enough reference pictures for anything you are trying to duplicate!!!

No problem. I've made two Zombie ML figures (based on the Box set zombie - ones bald, the other's redone in a suit), but they're of the dried up, missing eyes kind - not nearly as ... 'fresh' as your Z's.
I'm a trade collector for the Walking Dead as well, but I manage to keep up by downloading the .cbr issues via Torrents. I still like buying the trades when they're released though.

Well now! I guess I did what I set out to do: creep people out! Thanks ever so much for your kind words! I too am a devotee to The Walking Dead. I'm a trade collector, so I'm a little behind you there in the story. Is it not one of the very best comic book series ever?
Thanks again!

I decided to check out what new figures were posted before going to work here at 6:30-ish in the morning... and got the crud scared out of me by your Zombie.
I actually have to look away from the screen as I zip by it to comment.... bravo? A very successful zombie figure! It reminds me of my first reaction to the initial pages of Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead". And now I'm still reading that series at issue #53.
Gross, but awesome work.
