This figure was made from a HML Planet Hulk torso & hands, Marvel selects thanos’ arms &legs, Dc classics Etrigan head, and other figure odds & ends. This custom is based on the Marvel’s 90’s Age of Apocalypse character design of the main villain Apocalypse as he is seen in the Age of Apocalypse crossover. On Marvel Universe Earth-295 designated “the Age of Apocalypse” Charles Xavier died before forming the X-men and in his stead the X-men were formed by Magneto, not before the mutant Apocalypse practically conquered the Earth. In this reality Apocalypse is ruler of all with only small pockets of resistance troubling his mighty regime. Apocalypse with his horsemen make sure that all that live under his shadow, live with the everyday knowledge that only the strong will survive in his age….the age of Apocalypse
Customizer side note: This is my 9 ½ inch big B-A-F for the series one of my AOA 7 figure series that featured Magneto, Jean Gray, X-man, Bishop, Angel, Wild Child, and Sabertooth. Again Apocalypse looked different in many of the crossover books, so I went with what he looked like on the cover of the AOA sourcebook: The Chosen, art by Ian Churchill. I used the ½ hulk and ½ thanos to make the figure bigger, but in the same scale of muscular figure and it work great and better yet the pieces fit together with almost no problem at all, I also got the organic steel neck on him and his head still turns.
