I've done some Yuuzhan Vong figures from the Star Wars EU before and decided to do a few more in my spare time. Unlike last time where I did mainly the Warrior figures, this time I wanted to do one of the Shaper caste (or the variant that "makes" all of their technology).

Since the EU describes them as mainly female, I figured the ML size Witchblade figure would be perfect, especially since it already had the organic looking body parts. First the entire body was repainted-I used black and green as the main colors based on EU art as well as green being good for the organic parts. Then everything was given a black wash to make it look even more organic.

The head was also repainted, but not as much. The biggest chance was removing the nose and then touching the head up to look more organic than the basic paintjob.

The only downside I had with this figure was some paint rub around the joints due to their tightness. However, because the Shaper wears organic clothing and the original figure color was tan, the slight paint rub actually gives the figure more of organic look with "imperfections"-plus the rubbing is very light.
