It's no secret that I enjoy a good Western film even one I've yet to see. The base figure was made from a Gabriel Legend of the Lone Ranger General George Custer figure with the arms swapped from a Lone Ranger figure via the boil-and-pop method and there's a reason for that - to hold two pistols. The holsters, pistols and scarf were from Dime Novel Legends parts courtesy of Chicken Fried Toys which are just about right in scale. The pistols were made to resemble Confederate Revolvers though they do kind of resemble Colt 1848 Dragoons or G&G revolvers. The holsters were modified and stuck on during the sculpting process so as to have the same working function. While still keeping details intact, I wanted to make it somewhat simplified like vintage figures from the late 70s to mid-80s and I pretty much knocked that out of the park. Even though it's a character from an adult Western film, it does have a sort of comic-book/Saturday morning cartoon feel to it. This figure does fit in with the rest of the Gabriel Zorro and Legend of the Lone Ranger figures. I gotta say it sure was a fun weekend project. One last question; "Are you gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie?" ![]() |
