I've always been a big fan of Aquaman, but I've made so few renditions of him in all my years of doing this. He was a popular early project for me, putting together his classic look, one of his more modern designs, and this awesome hook variant. In the 90s, DC tried to revamp their main cast by really shaking up the main event. One of those changes was to make Aquaman lose his hand, get a hook, and then subsequently become way more focused on Atlantis. And a lot of people remember that well since that was his role in Justice League Unlimited. I also always liked it. I liked Aquaman being a powerhouse out on his own, much like I've always enjoyed the Green Lanterns doing their own thing out in space. Even though he's popularly associated with the Justice League, he's one of those characters that I think works a lot better disassociated from them.

Head was some really old cast with the hair resculpted. Arms were from Gladiator. Sculpted the belt, hook, and the full torso armor. Full repaint, and all done!
