2023 I always wanted to swap a modern Marvel Legends body into the DCSH Batgirl. At one time that Batgirl was one of the best superarticulated females around, but it's a bit out of date now and scrawny. So one nice grey body donated by the 80s Black Widow and I was off to the races. That meant transplanting the old boots onto the new legs, the old gloves on the new arms that I got from the modern Black Cat, modifying the cape to work with the new torso, adding a nice new joint in the neck so it can pose better, modifying the belt to fit the new body, and then a full paint job with a cut vinyl bat emblem. I didn't touch the original blue plastic from the old toy, I left it as is, but I was able to touch up her face and repaint the hair. Now I like her a lot. I like that I kept the sculpted 4 Horsemen details from the old toy.
That looks awesome. I've been doing ML style customs of DC characters too and drawing a blank on how to do Batgirl (and a dozen of others). I'm taking a hiatus from finishing all the characters I wanted to make because of being stumped. This has definitely inspired me to get back to it soon. Like you I want to keep the head and boots of the DCUC version but I had thought that her head might be too small for the ML bodies and the boots too difficult to transfer over. Your wips are a tremendous help.
Wow, thanks GN! I've seen your work and it's very impressive. I'm glad to give you some ideas of how to go about this. You've certainly given me ideas of how to do things - including The Thing! Good luck with your projects!
