Character:

Flash is an original member of the GI Joe team. Early in the Marvel run, he commented that his suit was likely to be protective against the venom of a spitting cobra, making him the closest thing the first wave had to a chemical/biological trooper. His filecard notes that he attended Chemical School and lists CBR (Chemical Biological Radiological) as one of his secondary military specialties. He’s an easy add to the Eco-Warriors, who was overlooked, just like Airtight.

Design:

Flint will make an appearance in this set using his iconic V1 head. But the V3 head looks good, just not as Flint, with its wave of hair and all. So it’s getting repurposed for Flash. Most of the team will now sport the same alternate/helmeted head, using a 3D printed pop-off style neck post.

Colors & Paint:

Flash uses the same color set as the rest of the Eco-Warriors in this custom set.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The head was cut from the neck and hollowed out to accept the 3D printed neck post. The shoulder/elbow rivets and the thigh screw insets have been epoxy filled and smoothed. The shoulder sockets were opened up very slightly to accommodate the epoxy.

Flash’s backpack also gets a slight upgrade, by way of a small Imaginext cylinder glued to the side.
