After watching the Disturbed Video for Land of Confusion I decided that the the hero portraid in it would be a perfect custom figure. I used a Wonder Man for the base and wiped his face off. I spread sculpty all over his arms and chest then used the X acto to cut it to look like tatered clothing. I then spread a layer of sculpty thin and draped it over his head to make his hood. This character is also featured on the cover of Disturbeds new CD 10,000 Fists, but he lacks a name so I just called him the hero. If you haven't seen the video please check it out. I actually still have him lying around somewhere and should probably touch him up sincehe was one of my earlier pieces.
Yep, McFarlene did the video for them(he also did Freak on a Leash for Korn and Evolution for Pearl Jam BTW), definetly one of my favorite music videos.
Like I said, I have one in the works right now(maybe 50% done) and just from what I've done so far I can say that I have a new respect for this peice, this guy can be tough!!!
Shins smile aint perfect but its pretty dang good, as Deadeye said. I'm trying to do the mouth by extending the mouth, filling it with sculpey and then doing the teeth individually which is gonna take a bit of work
I have to ask Shins, is his head still moveable with the hood on it? Is the hood actually on the body or just covering the head and stopping at the neck enough to leave a gap to move?

Only thing I felt you couldve improved on is his smile
I'm pretty sure the Video was created by mcfarlane studios who did the spawn cartoon series
And his mouth is quite toothey and almost evil looking in the video
