One of the last homo sapiens on earth Gaijin the outcast struggles to cling onto him humanity in a world of savagry and barabism. Pushed to his very limits and living a life of paranoia. Sleeping with one eye open it wasn't always this way for the man with the forgotten name.

It wasn't always this way. The decline of humanity had been a slow but inevitable crisis. Gaijin once had a name, and most are sure he once was the adopted son and heir to the Nippon samurai counties of the west, but no-one really knows what drove him away. Though numbering less than a hundred individuals humanity still manages to self destruct. Though his crimes are now long forgotten one thing is for sure. No matter who far he runs, the outcast will eventually have to face his destiny.

Years as a nomad have taken their tole on Gaijin, his body a lattice of scars and his muscles a constant memory of pain and hardship. His trusted but ancient colt single action peace maker is down to its last 14 rounds. But his skills with hatchett and knife more than make up for lack of ammunition. Let the hunters and seekers come. Bring on the war-bots and track-mules. He has killed them in scores, no device built nor creature bred by man shall destroy the outcast. His only hope, that through war one may eventually attain peace.


Ok so I've rambled on a bit, but half of this is making a character not just a figure. My original idea was to make a samurai cowboy as they are my loves of the moment but just couldnt come up with who this person was. So many a movie later the gaijin rogue started forming (probably down to frank millers wolverine). I wanted to scratch build the fig so I went straight to the bits box, no base figure for me, no sir.

Gaijin breaks down as follows:
Head - Quicksilver (with scarring, puttied beard and hair)
Torso and arms - Moon knight ( with sculpted webbing over simon garth coat)
Forearms and hands - Movie light up human torch
Legs and feet - Movie Mr fantastic

I scratch built the webbing belts from scraps and putty, the comabt knife is removable and used to belong to the (now resolute) commando snake eyes, the colt revolver came from a mgs revolver ocelot, with the holster from a res evil police zombie. The axe used to belong to conan the cimmerian.

The entire figure was repainted top to tail in citadel paints.

I originally intended to festoon the outcast with weapons but it no longer suited his character. But I like what I've ended up with, a rag-tag survivor pushed to his limits.
