Alright, here are few of the boys from team X-Men. Wolverine is the only figure that stayed the same, just gave him real steel claws, resculpted his mouth into a bull terrier's snarl, made the tips more pointy on his mask, and repainted. The other customs were all done using the Johnny Storm base, with a bit'o apoxie whirled on. Decided to give both Angel/Sunfire a 5-inch tall prop stand so they can pose in-flight. Just makes them happy to be off their feet! The Showdown Colossus figure arrived (from China) with a faded paint job and poor quality plastic, so did a quick retouch on the chrome areas and revved up the other colors as well. But this Colossus has got mad articulation for the scale - would look awesome taking down a Sentinel.
Wanted these guys looking at the top of their game, so Gambit got switched over to the Johnny Storm base (got better abs). Rolled Gambit's hair with apoxie Capcom style, and sculpted the jacket with extra folds and creases to appear more in motion. Gave him a staff cut from a Purgatori spear, some playing cards, already lit ablaze.
Most Difficult: Gambit. This figure got kitbashed so many times, just to get the arms and legs proportioned, choosing the right hands to use, etc. It was retardo trying to get the jacket to fit back on - in the end, had to cut the jacket in half in order to fit on both sides, then resculpted the middle section to connect and repair the jacket.
Most Enjoyable: AOASunfire. After getting thru the tedious sculpting parts, running all those bright flame colors thru afterwards was extremely therapeutic.
