Johnny Blaze (Midnight Sons & Friends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:1549
Name:Johnny Blaze
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Midnight Sons & Friends
Creator:LWes
Date Added:January 13, 2007
Base Figure:Punisher
Height:6.00 inches
The reason I got into comics was that I was interested in the Midnight Sons (that, for those that don't know, was a super group of supernatural heroes that were active during the early 90s), and the reason I started collecting action figures was that figures like Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Morbius, Blade and Man-Thing had been made.

So when I found out about what customizing is, I of course wanted to make all the Midnight Sons and their friends and associates. So, here is my first ever custom figure, the most important Midnight Son - Johnny Blaze!

Punisher was one of the first Marvel Legends I got, and since he seemed to be a good base for Blaze, that's what I used him for.
I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Though, I forgot to put that 'Medallion of Power' emblem on his belt, and I'm still trying to figure out a good way to make his cool sunglasses. And a cigarette...

Yeah, that would probably work. It would be great if I could find a cheap one. The ones on a website are like $10+ (that's shipping to Sweden) plus the cost of the actual figure.

xD Or you could use a ML Showdown figure, they're like 4 inches tall.

A hobbit, that would work, I didn't even think about that.

Haha! I meant to say Doc, not Mr
Oh yeah, the Dwarf, I love that guy. I'm absolutly going to make him when I find a good base figure. He's short and wears a suit, now what figure could I use for that? A hobbit maybe?

Trust me you don't have to call Doc mister. Looks good. Are you gonna make one of the little guy that used to give out the pages of the book of Darkhold?

Thanks for all your kind words Mr Nightmare!
Yeah, I for sure will try to get a Movie Punisher.
Here is the higher quality version of the picture. I had to tone down the quality a bit to make it less than 50kb.
The mistake I made on this figure, was that I used a varnish that though it's supposed to be matt, the figure became a bit shiny. This "sealer spray" I keep hearing about is nowhere to be seen where I live, maybe someone could hook me up?!

Best custom ever! If the pictures were a little less blurry I'd give it 10 stars :] You could also try using the Movie Punisher as a base (if you can get one for cheap).
Cusomizing is great, you can turn pretty much anything into anything else!
