The Kappa is a type of Yokai (traditiona Japanese Monster),sort of half man/half turtle.They are said to live in swamps and bogs.I sculpted his Head,Hand attachments,Feet attachments,and Shell from Sculpey.I painted all sculpted parts with acrylics.

Thanx!! And thanx for the advice,I think I will make another Kappa Custom(Kappa 2) soon.Most of the Kappa I have seen have a small shell,but I think a larger shell would actually look cool.

Kappa are amongst my most favorite Japanese mythological monsters--I remember I did a rather large segment on them for a presentation in mythology class in college. I love the head sculpt, but I think the shell needs to be larger and more defined. He needs a cucumber accessory too, and maybe a removable arm (from the classic tale of how the Japanese learned to set broken bones). :P
