Back after a bit of a break with a personal milestone...I finally hit no. 50!!! As such, I wanted this one to be something special, so I decided to deviate a little from what I normally make and go with my all time favorite duo (and game series), Megaman X and Zero! I've always loved Megaman ever since I was little, but for a few reasons, the X series is near and dear to my heart, especially Megaman X4. That being said, I've felt that the Blue Bomber was never done justice when it came to the figure treatment and got the Jazawares line purely because of the subject matter. I recently decided that this wasn't good enough and that I should be able to improve on the base figures they made, so I took an X and a Zero figure and made a few changes.
First, I swapped out the hands for some Playarts FF gloved hands for the right proportions, then I replaced (re-pegged) the ponytail on Zero with one from a Capcom vs. SNK2 Haomaru. I took off the right hand from X completely, hollowed out the inside of the "x-buster" and added on the muzzle which was a cut, sanded and painted wristband from a KH Roxas. I really hated the stupid face they gave X, so I hollowed out the head/helmet and fit a KH Roxas head in there after cutting off the ears, sanding the chin, removing the hair, and cutting/re-pegging the neck with a ball joint for greatly improved mobility; incidentally, I did the same for Zero so that he could look in all directions. After that, I did a repaint and chipped it a little for wear, but my favorite part was getting Zero's light saber. The cylinder is glass which encases the filaments and glows blue when the button is depressed.
I did my best to pull out the stops for these two and I hope you folks dig them. It was a real treat to work on these guys, and who knows, maybe I'll start making the bosses from each game once some of my other sets are complete. Thanks for all of the support over the past year and a half folks, it's been fun getting to 50!

Cheers,

-Renmauzo

Cool stuff, especially giving Zero a light-up saber. I'm also a big Mega Man fan, but all I ever make are the robot masters/mavericks and the enemies. :P

Very cool. I never saw this line. All I ever find are the tiny 3" figures.

I'm impressed, yet again, with your work. You do this line justice and I think you should continue.
