Tyr is my homage to Karel Capek's book, War With The Newts. Karel Capek is a Czech author who has been credited with inventing the word robot. In the War With the Newts, humanoid newts are found in Southeast Asia. The Newts are found to be highly intellinent, and are trained to do dangerous underwater work for mankind. Eventually the newts are bred to live in all the waters of the earth. The newts gain all sorts of technology from mankind and begin to build their own underwater civilization. War breaks out between the newts and mankind when the newts begin to destroy the continents to build their underwater civilization, especially birthing chambers. Eventually the newts who outnumber the humans become the masters of the earth which is mostly water now, with only small numbers of humans surviving on the Himalaian peaks!
Tyr is a warrior newt named after the Norse god who lost his hand to the Fenris Wolf.
Tyr is an "in-action," figure! He is made of DAS clay and painted with acrylics. His spear is wood, with hemp rope and feathers. Thanks for looking and enjoy!
