Frank Castle, locked deep in a SHIELD prison facility perished with the rest of the world on Judgment Day. Only THE PUNISHER survived the nuclear fires. What emerged from the rubble clad in radiation dampening, high ballistics armor was no longer a man who lost his family - but his whole world. After making good use of a Iron Man 'Titanium Man' figure, I saw the potential of having an even more armored Punisher with Mecha-like arms and boots. I sanded off the bat-logo on the chest, sculpted over it (see WiP shot), then use a hobby knife to create ballistics impact marks on the armor. Later on, I spliced in the FF:Spirits Within boots, and added the chain gun backpack. I was really happy with how well the Tom Jane Punisher's holster afixed/blended with the MM Dark Knight Armored legs - it was a perfect fit with some superglue. I painted this figure using Vallejo acrylic paints, and designed the Punisher icons for the armor in Photoshop/printed, bonded, and applied them to the figure. Various washes (all citadel) were applied to simulate rust, blood, and dirt. The figure's main areas (chest, and any potential rubbing-zones) were sealed with Krazy Glue. The whole figure was sealed with Vallejo matte finish varnish. Raised armor sections were then treated with Citadel Glossy varnish just to break up the black-on-black armor look. Hope you like him. :) ![]() |
