Thor (Classic Meets Medieval) with Variant Head and Hammer (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:18641
Name:Thor (Classic Meets Medieval) with Variant Head and Hammer
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:pulpyfiction
Date Added:December 10, 2009
Base Figure:Wonderman
Height:6.00 inches
Just re-sculpting and accessory additions to create this god of Thunder.
The cape is a dc universe bizzaro's, and the loincloth is an old kenner superman cape cut and painted, and the chains are from the original spawn figure. The diamond lip thing at the top of the boots are cut rubber strips. I also used the Hasbro Marvel Legends Lord Of Asgard Thor's wings from his helmet.
The classic version of Mjolnir is completely made from scratch, the hammer's head is sculpted painted in dry brushed layers and treated with a final speckled layer to give it that stone look.
The variant bearded head is The Sentry variant head. I repainted the hair in three separate colours, I think in the photo you can see it best in the beard, the photos may have come out a little bright to really see the hair right.
The variant (more realistic hammer) is an adapted McFarlane Conan hammer.

Thanks for the view!

Hey PF!!! awesome. Hey man what is a surefire way to swap legs and torso? I have tons of projects I can do if I master this technique. Boil and pop? Heat gun? Exacto knife along the seams? I haven't tried this because I don't want to ruin any good bodies. Later, maestro!

Wow!!!!!! What a great Thorsday! Great original idea. As much as I like the helmet, I think I like the bearded version better.
