They had some of the best tournament fights, with a never predictable outcome, and the stories actually left a life lesson to be learned!
The character Hiei (name translates to "flying shadow") is a male fire demon born to a race of female ice demons. His mother, Hina, was forced to abandon him because their village prohibited male children. The infant Hiei survived being tossed down a mountain and was later taken in by a group of thieves where he learned to kill at an early age. Throughout his childhood, his one shred of sanity was a necklace made from his mother's hiruiseki(ice tear stone). He eventually lost the necklace in the turmoil of battle. In order to find the lost hirui, Hiei acquired the Jagan(a demon eye implanted by the demon surgeon Shigure). This third eye enabled him to view remote areas, erase memories and telepathically control weaker demons and humans. He used the Jagan to seek out the place of his birth and learnt that his grief-stricken mother had committed suicide; Hiei also discovered that he had a twin sister, Yukina, who disappeared from the village. His new goal now was to search for Yukina.
During the dark tournament series, Hiei mastered the Dragon of the Darkness Flame move to win his match against Zeru.
Composed entirely of black, demonic flames, it consumed all it devoured and sent everything in its path to oblivion. The drawback in this technique, however, was that it used so much power and stamina that Hiei was left in a weaken state and had to sleep it off.

Got the dragon head from a Schleich toy figurine, cut the whiskers and main body from clamshell plastic with sturdy wiring underneath. The dragon measures 12inches, attached to a plastic stir-stick arm, reinforced with apoxie. Dremeling was needed to allow the figure to have 3 removable arms. The eye was cut from a clear mini light-bulb, painted on the inside and sculpted around. Apoxie sculpt was used to tighten everything up.
