Super Skrull (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Body is from a clear venom figure to allow for the see through legs, head and arms are from a super skrull two pack, the upper arm joins have been re-sculpted to fit better and not look so wimpy, shoulder pads, sculpted and figure re-painted.. I would like to ask for a bit of help, I have been customizing for a bit now but I am not reaching the values I feel my time and materials are worth. I wanted to ask where my fellow customizers think I need to improve; is it the photos, sculpting, paint???Thank you all in advance for your input. Please wait... |

As far as your question goes, I think some better pictures would go a long way. Not to say that mine are the end all be all of custom photos, but no matter how great your figure looks, if your photos don't do all they can to reflect that, you're not going to be making what you want. Also, one thing that I've noticed is that until someone has really built a name for themselves, they're not going to be making very good money off of characters who aren't pretty popular. You see it all the time. Some one can make a Gambit or Deadpool, throw it up on a website and pretty easily make triple digits, then make a better custom of a more obscure character and be lucky to make $30. If you really want to make some money, sometimes you have to make "sure things", though I don't recommend making anything you don't want to just to make a buck. Even if this is a source of income, you want to keep it fun, not a job.
