The slinky and mysterious Selina Kyle as Catwoman. She is Batman's secretive love and yet troubling foe. Here she is depicted in a tight black leather outfit; a civilian attire but still one that symbolizes her character. One would think she loves dark, secluded places. Anyway, on to the figure. Selina stands about six inches high by the use of the base for this custom. The base was created from an x-men the movie Jean Grey in which was then modified by detaching Jean's head and then having it replaced with a Marvel Legends Kitty Pryde figure's head. After Kitty's head was set in place, with the use of superglue, some modeling clay was used to reinforce any open areas between the head and the neck. Finally, the figure was finished off by using a skin tone smoothing creme lightly to cover the modeling clay giving her an even color finish. A little cover girl patch goes a long way. The figure does not come with her classic black whip, but this is a custom of Selina and not Catwoman and in her everyday manner. She keeps that whip hidden in her boots. The making of this piece was not too difficult, as I kept it simple in the process. The idea to make the character was a little tricky considering the figures I was using. However, it seemed to fit right. It is ironic that a marvel figure of Kitty is used, and yet I am making a custom based off a DC female character that loves cats and identifies as one...sort of. All in all she looks great and the end result was satisfactory, although when I look at her she does strike a resemblance to Janice Dickinson at times. I guess if one was setting the scene, she could pass as her. Just don't mistake her for Jean Grey, even though she can be just as alluring.
