Presenting Darth Maul from the Visionaries story line, tanked up with legs from a Mcfarlane CyberSpawn (Techno series), and used a Wraal for the upper body. Placed the torso on a rotating waist, to get articulation. The head was replaced from a WWE mounted on a swivel/pivot neck (so he can look up as well as side-to-side). Sculpted the horns, and gave removable hands from an Ultraman figure. Just wanted to gobsmack all the true Ray Park fans out there with the last pic!
Beautiful! I've looked through all of your customs and let me just say...wow! I can only aspire to be in your league as of now. Question: see, the only thing really holding me back on customizing my own Star Wars figs is I have no idea how make effective 6" scale light sabres. That being said...what did you use for these?!
Very cool Cyborg Maul--the cyber leg design in the comic was sleeker and lacked the wires if I remember correctly, but I can understand that it's not the easiest thing in the world to find a proper match in scale.
Awesome job! I remember reading that 'what if' (or was it an Expanded Universe?) comic where the resurected Darth Maul cyborg takes on Obi Wan in the desert. A question to anyone though: Can someone fill me in on what kind of articulation those Mcfarlane CyberSpawn (Techno series) legs have? I'm always looking for well articulated robo-parts. Thanks!
The figures contained in the Custom Showcase are not for sale by Figure Realm, and the creators of the customs are no way affiliated with Figure Realm. The Custom Showcase is purely for entertainment purposes and only provides a means for the creators to show off their work and trade ideas. Figure Realm does not make or sell customs.
