I always wished they had released more figures from the Xmen Evolution range. It would have been nice to have at least a Jean instead of four different Wolverines but since it was obvious they were never going to make her I decided to have a go at my own. I started with an Xmen Evolution Storm base figure since the Evolution range has a more angular look than other xmen ranges. I removed her cape and sliced away her boot tops and glove cuffs. Since Storm had baggy sleeves and Jean doesn't I had to slice away all the excess plastic to get Jean's slim arms. One side was easy but the other was made of a much harder plastic and it took a long time to get through it. Once I had done I found out that this arm is actually hollow and by slicing away the excess plastic the arm fell to pieces. If anyone out there is thinking about using this base figure as a custom I would recommend swapping the arms. It will save you a lot of time and frustration. At the moment the broken arm on my figure is being held together by painted tape since I havent had time to fix it permanently. I paintEd the figure black and added the green stripe. I painted her hair and gave her face an entire repaint. She's not perfect but she looks good on the arm of my Evolution Cyclops. My only other complaint about this base figure apart from that dodgy arm, is the bemused look on her face. Wonder what she's thinking.....
