It is based on the 1999 Battle Blades Skeltor from the failed 1989 Heman line. Customer supplied picture which were way better than any I could find online.

I took the armor, helmet and Skeletors skull from a Snakemen Skeletor. The Helmet was a snakes head, so I cut the top front of the helmet off. This was the snakes eyes & top fangs. I carved the eyes out and glued this piece to the bottom of the snake armor giving the armor a bottom set of fangs.

I used apoxie sculpt for molding the helmet and all the spikes on the helmet and armor, as well as the hook for Skeletor's right hand(This was the customers request).

The used Tamiya dark Copper, purple, black and Model Master purple pearl for the figure. Most was hand painted except for the helmet which was airbrushed.

The outline of the skull armor is hand painted with glow in the dak paint just like the original was. Only I can't get a picture of it in the dark as the camera doesn't pick it up.

The last picture was the original helmet color, but didn't quite pass my Quality Control. I opted for a more worn look airbrushing a light spray of dark copper, smoke & clear red. There is still a hint of purple, it just doesn't overwelm as much.
