THE FLASH ML15 Capt. Marvell- body, arms, legs, feet DCD Flash- head, wings for boots random fodder- fists logos and bolts- printed on PC, Mod Podged over, painted and sealed. Basecoated in Testor's Aluminum, heavy blackwash, then topped with Tamiya Clear Red and Tamiya Clear Yellow. I used the Aluminum instead of Silver to make the red and gold darker. Sanded and sealed all the joints. Joint rub was a real pain on this guy and I was not able to stop all of it, although I did stop a lot of it. ![]() |

I thought it would look, I dunno, too metallic, but it's just chock-full-o awesome!
Good job.
Almost looks like a Shrinky Dink from back in the day set into the chest
Once again awesome shiznit!!!
geki69er- I just used plain white copier paper. I Mod Podged a few coats on top to make sure the paint wouldn't seep into the paper and then traced the printed lines.
The shading was a lot easier than it looks. I basecoated in silver, then I mixed some black with a tiny drop of water and just painted all the black lines in- I didn't even do a wash. The water helped fake the wash look and softened the edges of the lines a bit. Then I painted the clear red on top. These Tamiya clears darken up a bit with each coat, so I just kept painting until I got the shades I wanted. By the way, using the Tamiya Clear Red is like painting with NyQuil.
