Another of my “elseworld” take on a MOTU character. This version of Orko is also from a planet of Trolla. But this planet is inhabited by Technomancers rather than simple magicians. Inside the core they believe their deity Coz-Mo, a Thunder deity, lives and uses a great machine to channel the natural magic to the rest of the planet. They in turn have learned how to create machines and technology to channel the magical energies that radiates from their planet. This Orko is an inventor and just discovered how to use celestial tones played on what he calls Coz-Mo’s key to unlock different locations around the planet. On his home world the Evil Gorpo sought out the Coz-Mo key to advance his plot to seek the source of the magic and control it for himself and ruling Trolla as Technomancer Supreme. As Gorpo’s forces began to break Orko's door down, Orko escaped using an unknown sequence of tones. Barely escaping Orko finds himself on Eternia. Of course Eternia is in no better shape than his own home planet being ruled by Emperor Skeletor. Due to the stronger forces of gravity on Eternia than on Trolla, he builds himself a hover chair. On his home planet he is able to channel and perform magic easily. On Eternia, there are limits on his magic related to how close he is to a source of magic. Almost like a wireless connection. So this version is still prone to blunders and mishaps. He hopes to aid He-man and the other rebellion fighters until the time he finds the right sequence that will take him home. So I used a little bit of the Gwildor character from the MOTU movie and the Black FF mage in the concept of my Orko. But beyond that I don't know what got me thinking of this one. I just didn't want an Orko that made me think he was the 5th Pac-man ghost. He can be removed from the chair. Recipe: movie night crawler head with DC Hush Scarecrow hat MOTU 200X Orko ears and hands. LOTR Samwise arms, upper and lower torso, and feet. A tiny wrestler's legs The Chair is made of various fodder pieces including some Professor X wheelchair parts and some T-100 terminator parts. I used a ML figure stand to give him his hover chair some lift. I used a small, clear bar of plastic that I heated and bent to create the illusion is keyboard is hovering by magic in first picture. The staff aka Coz-Mo's Key is fodder parts as well. The top of the staff is a wrench that I had from a Snout Spout staction figure. thought it kind of tied closely to the technomancer feel of the character. Thanks for looking. And ever since then I've seen you get progressively better at making your own version of the Masters of the Universe. This is amazing. Keep this up dude, I love different interpretations of characters.
Can't wait to see what's next!!!
