CAN YOU DIG IT?? great figure and very impressive in capturing the accurate likeness of Black Lightning. Yes, I do remember him the first time around. Back in the late 70's early 80's my best friend had a comic with him in it and I envied him for that! Thanks for the HISTORY on Black Vulcan, SEARCH4SKILLS....I always wondered why there wasn't a Black Vulcan in the comics and just on the Superfriends...now I know!

I think Static is supposed to be his son or nephew or something.

You really captured this character well.
Black lightning was a character created by Tony Isabella in the 70s. He wrote about 10 issues before being canned or retiring (depends on who you believe). The series ended after one issue without Isabella. Black Lightning eventually team up with Batman's outsiders. Originally he received his powers from his belt (made by some professor). He then became Meta and can generate his Electricity. Isabella's beef with DC resulted in Black Vulcan being created for the super friends show....ooopps, showing my age again.

And yeah Black Vulcan makes an Appearnce in Harvey Birdman Attorney-At-Law

Dy-no-mite! ehh sorry. It's a 70's reference and...Anyway that's a hella sweet job for an underrated character. He's getting a second wind in the current JLA so he'll become known to those who weren't around for this guy, didn't have comics of him in his basement, or ever watched "Static Shock" -whom I am sure was inspired by Black Lightning. Awesomess squared!

Awesome paint job my friend - I've never heard of this guy but you can tell you've really taken time with him - especially on those lines. Can't say I envy you having to do them but you've made a really pro job of it!
