Former Coast Guard James McCoy had never wanted to be a super hero. He had wanted to stay in and retire from the US Coast Guard. However only 3 years in and he got releaved of his duty after suffering a back injury while maintaining his ship. After sitting at home and barely being able to move around he finally decided to do something about it. He got a some compression gear and started sewing in strands of metal, and soon plates too. Until he had basically built a suit of armor.

On the otherside of the US Defense Team was Dr. Allen Frank. He had been experimenting on a new technique of using electricity to heal and reanimate human muscles and limbs. After his prototype vest called the Shockmanwave 3600 was deamed "too experimental" by the United States government he took his invention home and began on some other projects.

That was until he came across a youtube video of a man trying to strengthen his back and body with a metal suit of armor and Dr. Frank had an idea of his own.

The two got together and created created the Titan Grey machine. The machine would give all the power and mobility back to James McCoy that he had before his injury and a bit more. He has promised the US Government to protect it and uphold the laws of this nation and also promised never to use any lethal force.
