When Bethesda Softworks came to me and said they needed a one of a kind custom figure for the company's Executive Producer Todd Howard, I knew it was going to be a challenge. I was asked to create their Fallout 3 Vault Dweller main character in his 101 partially armored suit. I used a Diamond Select Commander William Adama for the base body, removing the front of his uniform and completely hand-sculpting the T-stripe, main armor sections, straps, and Pip-Boy wrist computer.
I used an NECA Crow head with sculpted hair and ML AoA Sabertooth boots. After one heck of a full body paint job that included mud, oil, and dust effects, (and of course the large 101 on his back) I found some weapons/accessories for him and detailed up a wasteland base. As you can see Dogmeat tagged along too! The custom now sits on his desk where I'm told everyone who comes in says something to the effect of, “Hey Todd, I… whoa! WHAT is that?!” Best Happy Birthday wishes Todd and keep making those awesome Fallout games!
While not a huge fan of the way Bethesda got the fallout franchise or is treating the original creators I do love this custom and I'd be proud to have it on my desk. Next to all the fallout 3 swag I got. He'd go between the lunch box and the bobblehead lol. Keep up the great work Jin.
