Sin City Marv (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:2523
Name:Sin City Marv
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:greymonk
Date Added:May 3, 2007
Base Figure:Again with the Hasbro Planet Hulk - I love them for mods!
Height:7.50 inches
I love turning the Planet Hulks into something else. They are a really solid piece to work with and big enough that you feel like you've finished something. I also thought the original figures portrayed Marv kind of...wimpy. Oh heck, I just wanted to see if I could do it, who am I fooling here? You guys are all modders, you know the drill.

I haven't seen the movie or read the comics, so I dunno how accurate the custom is, but it does look cool. Going for the monochromatic looks sans the blood? Nice.

Your Marv is awesome I like yer original take on the man, Hulk's face is perfect. His body though, too bulky. But still, kudos!

Thank you very much for the kind words. In all honesty I'm just glad he sold at all! there's always the possiblity that one won't sell, and I rely on each sale to finance the next project. I just go from figure to figure. I'm working on a really tough piece that's becoming a real money sponge but I'm making it to see if I could do it. It's a zombie but it's a secret. I'll post it here when it's done (if it ever gets done!)

Thats suprising. I mean, yes names that arent as well known by buyers don't go for as much but it looks very nice and well done to say the least. The paint app looks flawless and your sculpting is very well done. He looks great man, can't wait to see what else you've got in store for us

LOL! (on the coat!)
yeah scanning 3D stuff is tricky but doable. Just takes Patience and I don't have a lot of that. :-) Well this Marv Sold on the e-place last night so it won't be mine for much longer. No sweat tho, his sale will finance my next project which is becoming a money sponge!
I can't wait to see your Marv! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one that was disappointed with the orginal figure!
rpetras: Thanks for the kind words friend!

Yup I have a scanner but you'll have to talk me thru using that - scans pics cherry but 3D stuff won't
as I tried scanning a boba fett 12" I made and that didn't turn out too well
Anyway webcams fixed - check the Lazurus Corps and Evil Ted Zombie contest entries - theyre taken with my fixed webcam
serves me right for not getting my finger out sooner - so I'll post pics up hopefully of my Sin City Marv today
One things for sure tho buddy - BOTH of us have better made, articulated Marvs with extra details than the official one thats in the Legendary Heroes line
that figs hair is just all wrong and his face looks dumb instead of MEAN like ours do
Although...thats a darn fine coat hes wearing

Thanks for the kind words guys I'm sort of new to all this!
DeadI: do you have a scanner? Believe it or not you can probably get better pics with a scanner than with your webcam. just a thought, I used scanner before I got a digicam that I am barely qualified to use!
