Sin City Marv (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:2525
Name:Sin City Marv
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:deadeye
Date Added:May 4, 2007
Base Figure:ML Frankenstein
Height:6.50 inches
Marv - The Hard Goodbye himself - Sin City's own tough as nails Psychopath with a heart of Gold - or should be a heart for Goldie?

Hes a base figure ML frankenstein with a Resident Evil Mr.X Jacket, resculpted head based loosely on the AoA burned wolvie

Hatchet was from a LOTR 1:6 scale Samwise Ganjee
His "Gladys" handgun is from a Reservoir Dog Mr Blonde

I made this months ago but couldnt post it up as I can't take very good digital Cam pictures with my Bad eyesight (no depth perception behind a camera lens and Photosensitivity with lighting the shot) and the ones I did take were from a knackered webcam - which needed fixed
Having fixed it - I basically "used the force" again - took a a good few shots and hoped for the best - these were the best four

Enjoy:)

Think the contracts lapsed and someone else might pick it up - pity too
Neca are needing to have more articulation in their figures - I'm not too fussy about the legs but elbow hinges on their figures arms would be great
Maybe SOTA will get the rights - that'd ROCK

yeah Clive Owen Dwight would be perfect! Too bad Neca didn't continue this line. I hope they're saving it for the next film.

Thanks man
nah I havent ordered the Marv - infact Marv will be the last one I buy (If I buy it at all) something about the figure I don't like - think I'll make my own head for it and give it a poseable wire trenchcoat - the trenchcoat on the LCBH fig looks kinda static - like theMovie blackheart's
Thanks very much for the love on this man - your stuff is awesome
As for the sin city girls
Very soon buddy very soon - I need to get suitable bodys first
thinking kitty pryde for Miho, Xmc Storm for Gail and either a cammy or warbird for Nancy Callahan
I want to make Marvs parole officer too - played by Carla Gugino in the movie
but I'll have to blank out her bare boobs
But I think'll make a Dwight Mccarthy next from Big Fat Kill - I started work sculpting a punisher head - but it started to look like Clive Owen - perfect for Dwight

hey hey wait a minute! I can't believe I missed this! This is totally awesome! Very detailed and he looks more like a combination between the movie and comicbook version. then again, there's no such thing since the movie Marv was almost comicbook accurate. It's cool the way you added your own style. It even looks better than the McFarlane poseable plastic statue (I think this was released a decade ago).
So when are you doing the women of Sin City?

Or just alba in general LOL
But the IW seems definitely more plausible

Hahaha Thanks man - you aint seen nothing yet
As for Nancy - tradee me a Jess Alba Invisible woman and I'll see what I can do
But I'll be doing it comic accurate - IE TOPLESS
Alba - you failed us
Lucky Carla Gugino and Jamie King followed the comicbook nude scenes
Anyway I'm doing deadly little Miho next

I say you go with your original idea and do his parole officer. You can put black bars up in the appropriate areas...

Thanks very much Man - I dig your work too
But if you think this is good wait till you see my Ron Perlman Hellboy Mk2 and my own Lightup GR
Like everything I do it aint 100% movie accurate - I tend to rub some funk on stuff to make it better (IMO anyway) or leave some stuff out - to streamline it better
Sometimes I go off the other end of the scale and put too much detail in
Its always a Deadeye original regardless

Great to see a super articulated version of this Hulking killa. Kinda like one of the other characters said: Marv would've fit perfectly in the middle ages...swingin' his axe! Great job Deadeye!

Lol thanks man - I am the one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind afterall (check sig)

Eyes and teeth always give me problems whenever I sculpt this size - due to my sight difficulties
If I can manage it - with a sharp blade and an evil glint in my eye - I tend to cut out the eyes and toothy mouths of figures I think would be good in my original sculpts
AOA Wolvie was one such fig - I've since now replaced his mouth with a screaming mouth from an LOTR fig and his eye holes with running liquid cement and patented the cement silver
The results of that will be one of my new contest entries

I'd love to make Carla Guiginos chracter from Sin City - Marvs parole officer
but since she'd be naked - it wouldn't get on here

Your sculpting is always great, I think one of the most important things is so that you can't tell right away what head the figure has and I'd never figure it out if you hadn't said it. It's too often you see different customs with the same heads.
and smart to use the Frankenstein Monster as base!
