Spectacular Spider-Man was a great show, no doubt about it. It's Doc Ock was also a great villain, so it was a no brainer for me, I had to have a figure of him, but all of the merchandise is in it's own style, so he had to be made. The subject here is a random Ock figure from Spider-Man 2. He was primed black, then after trying about three shades of green (all of them mixed), I finaly found one that looks good and screen accurate. Of course it looked too flat, so I used the paint wipe technique from Jin Saotome's tutorials. It's very easy and looks really, really great. Coat is painter with three different shades of bronze and black, just like in the animated series. Only his tentacles are SM2 accurate. And those shiny shoes were painter with Pactra matt black (seriously). I've also sculpted the seam line on his shirt, neck part, his goggles and coverd some of his body fat. Green Stuff is a lot harder to handle than I thought. I've also wanted to give him a power unit (like in SSM) on his belt, but totally forgot about it. It was my first time sculpting something on a figure, so I'm not 100% satisfied with the outcome. Painted with Vallejo, GamesWorkshop and Pactra paints. Hope you like him. ![]() |
