Thanks so much, will be posting the 'updated version' of this soon. I'm using a buff 'wesley' legs and giving him a paintjob. couldnt have done it without all the people who commented. thanks to blaynescott.

Pretty much anything would work better. The problem is the proportions more than anything. His hips/pelvis area should be ending where the top of the leg-sockets *start*. The easiest thing would be to use a dremel (and I don't know anyone could customize without one), and dremmel into the torso, and set a different pelvis higher. Any pants-legs would do - ML (Tom Jane Movie) Punisher, DC Universe Classics Starman variant, BTVS Diamond Deluxe Spike or Angel figures... there's lots of options.
If you want to retain articulation without resorting to Aves sculpt to create a new socket for the hip rotation, dremmel around where the new legs socket is, so you're left with legs with a piece of plastic on top that still holds it firmly. It will look strange (mainly because there's nothing that plastic is attached to. Then, using super glue and pressure (while turning the new pelvis/legs to avoid it sticking), you press it into the new space you've dremmed in your Peter's torso.
Check out tutorials online for splicing parts, or just experiment.

He looks like Peter Parker from Aeon flux, very original, just take more time in the painting job, and this will be awesome.

hi, I'm sorry about this figure, the only stuff I had at the time was milliput but now I've goy tones of epoxie so not to worry. as for the hand I'm not entirely sure. it must have fallen off while I was taking pictures. silly me. thanks for looking!

nice, I like the face and hair, sculpt kinda poofy, try to press on every part of the thing and remove excess. the waits, thighs, and pelvis is a bit long. excellent otherwise. paint could use some work and photos.

People I'm sure appreciate your concepts (good call on using the NECA Mercer head as an Ultimate Peter Parker), your sculpting compound is pretty atrocious.
Get this stuff instead, and a sanding sponge from your local hardware store. Your work will improve drastically, and you'll have more fun working with this material on your customs:
Also, for reference:
Even veteran customizers need to watch out for crazy torso lengths, or monkey-length arms when splicing parts. This image is a helpful guide to avoiding that.
Peter, by human standards is horribly distended. Also, he's kind of... missing a hand. Might... want to fix that.
Best of luck,
-Blayne
