This is my 300th custom uploaded to FigureRealm!! when I started customizing I never thought I will eventually make so many.... much less even customizing a BAF figure! (I would have said this guy is bonkers to use Apocalypse for a custom). But I had one in awful condition, and the challenge of making a custom out of him was too great. The head has been completely out of sculpting material, and I have included inside the head two light-up eyes and those typical sounds of a GI Joe backpack. You can see it better on the YouTube video I've linked into the Promotional Link. There was many technical problems of fitting so many things inside the head (batteries, chip, the two lights...) the first problem was that it short-circuited because the aluminium foil used to give it form was making contact with the chip, the problem was solved with surrounding the interior with paper. The second problem was the buttons; if the batteries were placed near the top of the head it was impossible to use the original buttons; I had to cut model kit bars of plastic and glue them to the original buttons so they stick up, and after I made a detachable plastic top. About the character itself; it is the creator of all the Manhunter robots. When I read the Millenium issue two years ago, I never thought I would have a figure of him in my collection. The character is quite undefined in the comic, and by the net is practically unknown with nearly no pics, so I adapted the design to the nice Apocalypse body. Hope you like it, and I hope to be here for the custom 400th! Please wait... |
