Hi, sorry for the delay in replying just had to get registered etc.
Shinigami - I didn't melt the fingers, the original hands were in a fist so I cut the fingers off and drilled holes in the knuckles. I then cut some wire and glued the wire into the hands to make fingers, a bit of sculpt and then dipped in rubber re-grip stuff. I hated the hands went the rubber was drying and had plans to take apart and do them again but once they are on the figure they look good.
Patraw - I am not sure what the base figure is, I have never seen it before and tried finding what the base figure was on google. On the figure its got a really small makers name and the words 'lazer wars'. It was also made in 1998 but google didn't find any useful results. I wish I had taken a picture of the figure before I started as it was very different with a torch in its mouth and completely red.

That's a cool and interesting alternate take on Venom. Wish I knew what that base body was--looks familiar, but I just can't place it.
