Dark Jedi (Star Wars) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:2799
Name:Dark Jedi
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Star Wars
Creator:Mr-X
Date Added:June 2, 2007
Base Figure:Mr. Sinister
Height:6.00 inches
An original.

Another not too big one. I had a Mr. Sinister lying around and wanted to use him(though after seeing the Ghost Rider 2009 in the contest there is a good chance this guy will change)

I used the character Nom Amor from Star Wars as a reference and went from there. Just a simple body repaint and a Nazgual hood for good measure.

Simple but pretty cool

My two favourite colors too
Also Doc Nightmare could use the very flexible "demons" that come with the Grave digger caharacter from Spawn series
I used one for my hellboys tail

That "messed up" female looks pretty darn sweet the way the black and red flow together (yes I am bias however since those are my 2 fave colors) That makes me want to do a female Toxin!!

I've got two NightCrawler tails, they're poseable and about the right size. A little modification and they might work.

xP I don't know how to make them poseable short of casting them with rubber with a wire frame inside, I'll probably have to sculpt the entire things...maybe I have to spare parts I can modify, and I don't know what I'm going to do about her head, I don't have any to spare
Yar, my stuff only gets shaded when it's accidental :P

Spiffy, the body type looks good, I like the black shading that was left over/accidently made
Now you get to sculpt the head tentacles

Hey Mr X, thought you might want to see my Talon WIP:
This is the figure I messed-up by spraying it with too much paint. I left it alone for a few weeks and when I went back to check on it the paint had actually leveled-out pretty well I sanded it a little to smooth-out any leftover paint-wrinkles (you can see some on the shoulder), this is a first coat of red.

you can pick the see thru mixer drink sticks (called swizzel sticks in UK) up at c0cktail bars and some retail chains like walmart (asda chain here)
see thru micro reed drinkstraws can be got off packets of certain fruit juices
tho I got a very thin straw (but strong one) from an old WD40 can

Hey, doesn't McDonalds or Winchel's Donuts give you red drink mixers with your coffee? They aren't see-through though...

Hmmm, Darth Revan wore a hood and mask, Vader had a helmet, Sidious had a hood too, Nihilus had the hood and mask also and Darths Malak, Sion and Bane were all bald...I think the common trait here is either being bald or wearing your hood too much...
WAIT!! Darth Nihil sorta has a flat top:
Dude on the far right
Also, while not exactly a Sith lord, Exar Kun has almost normal hair:

You kinda forgot about Maul and Asaji Ventress being Bald - I know Ventress wasn't full blown sith but a dark acolyte of the sith - but she still counts
very cool stuff tho man loving these
I wasn't trying to downplay your efforts by saying you've left on Sinisters flat top - not at all
But its basically getting away as much as bossible from the original fig
And oh yeah - lightsaber tip
I go the Action figure route by making see thru plastic colored lightsabers
Either made from very slender but strong drinking straws - or from suitably colored drink mixing sticks

Dedi
No problem Dedi.
I agree, the head could be altered a bit more to make it look more original but I'm pretty happy the way he came out here(though he is subject to change)

I used a Precise Rolling Ball-Extra Fine pen on one of my customs, works pretty well, good flow of ink and a good amount of control.

Red hair in a lavender-blue suit? Hell yes
I'll try the pen idea first and see if the pen doesn't slip too much!

Nice, can't wait to see it. The black tape would probably work pretty well, you could try using a pen as another way too, that way you would have a bit more control.
Somehow I can see you making a Mara Jade figure too, Doc:

One of each :P
I'm going to make the handle kinda jagged to match the tattoos. Make her eyes green and the saber red I guess. I'll make the tattoos with black tape, no way I'm painting them :P

More like medium height, not really tall but not short. What style saber you making?

Is she kinda short? I'm going to use a Cammy base, which is like 6 inches anyway :P

Lol, like Punisher's great great great great grandson or something
Oh cool, now I have an idea of how the figure will turn out, mine will be all painstakingly perfect of course :P:

Depends on the style you are making. The good thing is, since all the prequels and comics and such, new designs have come out. They've gone from single sabers(most common), double sabers, dual staffs(Darth Maul), single sabers with a curved hilt(the one Dooku used) and other such, there has even been Tonfa style sabers:
I like taking flag poles or other long object and just sculpting my own handle on one end then painting the "blade" the desired color.
BTW, this guy remind anyone else of an older Punisher-Jedi style?

She's my new favorite red-head

Yep, eventually I hope to make Darth Nihil
As for the red chick, her names Darth Talon and here ya go Doc:
Ya Dedi, I hope to make me some more sabers one of these days. I ran out of flagpoles though so I need to find an alternative base
