I wanted to make a seriously solid DP, but was getting really discouraged with the fodder I had, and the same old deadpool image, that had been done a million times. I wanted something that looked just like the Deadpool in the 90s that I remember, a true red and black slayer. I've always loved the liefield drawings, especially on the marvel masterpiece card series. The base is a Series 3 Daredevil, with punisher "boots" The arms were parted out, and I used my left over black panther arms. the hands on BP are fantastic, I removed the claws, and they hold weapons very very well. I noticed once I had put the arms on that one looked a little different. on closer inspection I saw that the factory must have placed the shoulder ball in the wrong direciton. this kept the shoulder from looking like a "ball" that sticks out and looks unnatural. so I swapped the other shoulder to match, the result was a VERY uniquely poseable deadpool. I found that he can now cross his arms, hold and gun with 2 hands, and much much more. really excited about this discovery, now I just need to see how many other figures I can do this with. Belt was from a Metalgearsolid figure. custom DP symbol. all other straps and gear created from scratch with greenstuff. Sword scabbers created with greenstuff. raised costume detail created with greenstuff. Custom cast and sculpted head based on ML3 Deadpool with a Liefield twist. RUB FREE JOINTS!!, 8 more points of articulation than original Deadpool. Super solid paintjob. Factory Style. I hope you guys like this, or possibly notice it in a sea of red and black.
lol okay, so he doesn't have a hundred pouches. thats why now it is "liefield inspired"
thats a good looking DP. Not sure "Liefield Style" is what I'd call it, but still solid. Thats very interesting about the reversed shoulders, it has definitely piqued my interest.
This looks great... but the biceps need about a 1/2 lb of sculpt in order to make then 3 times the size of his head. (I know... joke's old by this point.)Nice work
thanks guys! Ya there will be alternate heads. I started off with 3 and just didn't post pics. Look for a bowen style head, and a ml3 dp head, and unmasked. @loosecollector, hahaha I debated this, I wanted to TONE DOWN the pocket angle, and opted for 8 pouches round the sides and back on the belt. I wanted him to still be poseable n durable.
