For those of us that own or have beaten MvC 3 then this figure needs no explanation, for those you who havent well here's the story: (SPOILER ALERT)

After battling your way thru the multiple battles your final confrontation is against none other than the Devourer of Worlds himself Galactus! Before being able to fight him you must first fight 2 other opponents at the same time that Galactus choses and imbues them with the power cosmic. Each fight you have the chance of fighting the following: Dr Doom, Wesker, Dormamu, and Akuma.

Akuma is a Neca figure that has been completely repainted to look like his VG herald counterpart. He was based black, then Mythral silver, Tamya bright Silver.
After looking at the effects of the on screen characters I noticed that they have a sheen to them that reflects the area around them. I tried to duplicate the effect with various washes of purples and blues. The colors now reflect off the silver depending on the light source giving it the same effect as in the game.

As final piece I created an aura out of hot glue that wraps around Akuma and made him a MvC3 Display stand.
