Next is the notorious and fear-inducing dread pirate, Blackbeard! Jakks' Blackbeard was a cool start, but a bit stumpy. First thing I did was get rid of those arms and legs. I used the hot glue trick to transplant XMO Sabertooth's arms. These added length and articulation. I then put Blackbeard's cuffs on and swapped his hands for some Joe hands. Next I looked at the legs. I didn't like how all the figures basically used the same boots, so to differentiate Blackbeard I took the boots from a True Heroes/Chap Mei pirate captain. Then I put them on WWE Build N Brawl legs - Deuce I believe. I'm glad I hoarded a bunch of these back when KB was closing. Lastly I added some paint detail and my Blackbeard was complete! Thanks for looking and let me know what you think! And be on the lookout for more! You mentioned a technique involving hot glue. How do you do that, exactly?
