Another figure for my classic Superboy collection...Zatara the Magician!!!! Zatanna's magician father, John Zatara encountered Superboy on two separate occasions in the Bronze Age of comics (once when he was Superbaby, once when he was Superboy).

This was a fairly simple figure to do. I had an extra DC Universe Classics Joker figure, which I removed the head, tuxedo jacket, and hands from. With the figure headless, jacket-less, and hand-less, I cut the tie off and gave him a full body repaint to match the artwork from the 1986 Who's Who entry. Once fully repainted, I used my Dremel to grind down the neck ball joint into a post. With that done, I set the figure aside and began work on the head. The head is a Marvel Legends Doctor Strange which I used my Dremel to remove the soul patch from his chin and then repainted. Next, I drilled a small hole into the base of the neck in the front just under the collar which I then inserted the bow-tie from a DC Direct Silver Age Superman Series One Jimmy Olsen and glued in place. I removed the Joker's squirting flower from his lapel and filled in the exposed hole in the jacket with Milliput, which I then sanded smooth with my Dremel once dry. After putting the coat back on the figure, I gave it a full repaint and attached the hands from the Jimmy Olsen. Lastly, after gluing the head in place on the neck, I gave him the magic wand and top hat from an extra DC Universe Classics Zatanna, and TA-DA...Zatara the Magician!!!!

Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.

That'll be 94.99 for the ferreting of the recipe...LOL. Just kidding. I'm glad that my stuff has been giving you ideas for ones of your own...after all, isn't that why we all share our figures with each other...to spur others on to make their own? Thanks for the comment.
