Brainiac 5 (Querl Dox) is a fictional character who exists in the 30th and 31st centuries of the DC Universe. He is a long standing member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Brainiac 5 is from the planet Colu. He first appeared in Action Comics #276 (May 1961).

Created from Battlestar Galactica Apollo, I had planned to turn him into a Yellow Lantern similar to Hal Jordan but retaining the Air Force Like Jumpsuit of the Red Son variation. This was a rather boring outcome and I decided to transform the entire character. I had run out of my regular purple paint & have tried a few different colors for the jumpsuit, initially silver, than purple, dark chrome and finally a proper purple

I initially had black eyes and black eyebrows similar to his earliest appearances. However, I looked at the new DCUC Brainiac 5 and the DC direct Brainiac five which both had yellow eyebrows. In Brainy's newest appearances, he almost always has yellow eyebrows, so I changed his eyebrows to a yellow and gave him blue eyes, likely difficult to see in these photos. Ultimately decided against adding the Legion Logo as I couldn't figure out where it would look best.
