Bold Jane Downey, one of Robin Hood's Merry Men and Women. Created by me (Clayton Emery) in Robin Hood and the Beasts of Sherwood. Bold Jane (so nicknamed by Robin) takes Marian as her model, and fights as one of Robin's "yeomen". The character has proved so popular Jane shows up in many official lists of Merry Men. Jane is fearless and nimble, but so small she must wear her sword on her back lest it drag in the dirt. Sword, belt, and dagger are good quality, obviously "donated" by some nobleman. Dressed as a man, she wears a linen shirt to her knees, a wool tunic, and a capuchin (shoulder cloak). Her goofy hat is a historically accurate archer's hat. Archers were elite troops and liked to show off. It has a tail so long a man can tuck it in his belt or wrap it around his neck like a scarf. Her favorite color being blue, Jane wears blue hose, half a blue hat, and blue fletchings on her arrows. She's modded from some anime elf, with embroidery thread for hair.
