OK so I started with the tried and tested formula of an X-23 base but I found her too lanky next to the others and her head is way out of proportion. So I picked the smallest body I could and wound up with Wanda. Yes dear sweet fugly Wanda. The head went and got replaced by a FF4 Sue Richards noggin. I was really pleased with the way the hair got sculpted as it has a more Joe Mad look about it. The coat is a random spare from the fodder bin with sculpted sleevesand the shades are once again XMC Angel. I did attempt to sculpt the earings but couldn't get them symetrical. I ended up cheating by detailing sticky paper dots. There you have it, my take on the old firecracker herself :) Please wait... |

Glad you liked how the 'Scabby Wanda' turned out Deadeye. I remember you PM'ing me saying how god awful the body was and saying I could get better. Pretty chuffed I turned it round!
Working on retooling Wolvie, Jean Grey, Rogue and Cyclops next guys. Now I've finished the Blue and Gold team in my other thread I need more projects to keep me outta trouble
But like Variable Penguin - I like real clothing on things as much as possible and use material or PVC tape in my customs to simulate vinyl and leather costumes
I double fold PVCtape (sticking both sticky sides together) and weather it with fine sand paper and rub boot polish into the rough pores to make leather effect
I make trenchcoats, shorts, belts, whatever in this manner
I leave it shiney if the characters meant to be wearing Vinyl
I used the tape technique to some extent on my Punisher 1889 figure in the contest last month
And it was pretty well received - Got 3rd place with it
Its now been sold to a regular customer in a neighbouring city (Edinburgh) - I'm now making the new and improved version 2 of said model
But youre absolutely right
Wings is indeed getting better and better at sculpting - and I love his paint work
We've struck up a good friendship thru our trade deals
I'm curently sculpting him weapons for his customs

People I have to stress that this figure was ripped apart in my fodder bin cos I thought she was so lousy - Wings here has done ONE HELL OF A JOB - piecing her together and turning her into the Lil Miss Firecracker here
Kudos man - thats a superb piece
A pair of PVC tape shorts would be really cool tho
