This is number 19 in my series of Earth-2 Superman fan fiction. This character is the Earth-2 Eradicator, essentially the same character as the one that appeared in the comics, but with an Earth-2 flair to him.
Again, this figure was a pretty straight forward custom. I took the Eradicator figure and replaced the chest and cape symbols with ones designed to look like the Earth-2 symbol (these were designed big like the John Byrne era Superman symbol of the 1980's...however, the chest symbol was trimmed slightly to fit the existing chest symbol/shield). Next, I used Milliput to create the boots. Once the Milliput had dried, I used my Dremel to sand the new boots smooth, then repainted them in black, and TA-DA...the Earth-2 Eradicator!!!!
Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
Bob, you can't rush quality work...that's why the two I'm currently working on have been on the work bench for a year. Take your time, I look forward to seeing em.
Thanks. I thought for the Earth-2 version, he needed to look tougher, and trust me, the symbol was not as easy to create as it looks, but it came out absolutely great.
I know the frustration that it takes to make something look that clean. You can tell that you put a lot of painstaking time into outlining the symbol. You should be very proud!
It wasn't so much the outlining of the symbol that was the painstaking part, as I have SEVERAL templates that I use for symbols...the painstaking part here was trimming the symbol properly to fit in the area of the existing chest shield. I am proud of the work I put in, and I'm glad that someone else noticed it. Thanks.
